Artistic Statement

Passion. Joy. Truth. Power. Vulnerability.

These are the words that you feel once you gaze upon my choreography. I create stories of fantasy, power, and raw emotions that center around the people who move through society unknown and discarded. The people whose stories are forever misinterpreted, and whose identities are still unknown. The people who have overcome the impossible and are still fighting every day. My choreography represents the people of the African diaspora and the continent, creating a bond that is shared and meant to tell the truth and uplift the community through the toughest conversations.
